What is that???

One of my favorite things to do is take a walk on the beach to relax. Sometimes we see the strangest things washed up on the sands.

The first three pics are those of Blue Bottle Jellyfish (aka Portuguese Man of War). I hear they have a nasty sting and I hope I never find out how nasty. Scroll all the way down for more weird creatures.

These little ones are about the size of a 50 cent piece and are called By the Wind Sailors. Some say they sting and the websites says toxic but not toxic to people....hmmmm.

And finally this strange invertebrate creature. Alan and I have no idea what it is, so if you think you have some ideas, please let us know. We found a bunch of them washed up on Little Bay Beach when we went to watch the swim competition. They didn't seem to bother the swimmers, so I guess they are not toxic. But they sure are strange looking. They were clear, see through, with the exception of their "stomach" which was a dark color and had two antenas.
